Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly preparing a transfer swoop for Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo.

The 34-year-old, who joined Juve from AC Milan in 2011, was part of the Italy side that made it to the semi-finals of the Confederations Cup this summer.

The veteran has also been a key player for a Juventus side that has won consecutive Italian titles, with the playmaker drawing praise from various quarters.

According to reports in Spain, Pirlo has emerged as Ancelotti's top transfer target this summer as the Italian prepares his side for the new season.
