A report claims that Benfica want to sign Casemiro from Real Madrid this summer.

Benfica are reportedly still interested in signing Casemiro from Real Madrid this summer.

The 22-year-old joined Madrid on a permanent deal last summer from Sao Paulo.

However, the Brazilian struggled for first-team football during his first season in Spain, appearing mainly from the bench and in the Copa del Rey.

According to Marca, Benfica want to take the midfielder on loan for the 2014-15 season and are preparing to make an official offer in the next few days.

Casemiro has five Brazilian caps to his name.
