Florentino Perez 'considering sacking Zinedine Zidane'

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly considering sacking Zinedine Zidane as head coach.

Zinedine Zidane's position as head coach of Real Madrid is reportedly under severe threat, with club president Florentino Perez unhappy with the start to the season.

Los Blancos currently top La Liga with 15 points having won four and drawn three of their seven domestic fixtures at the start of the 2019-20 campaign.

Madrid have only taken a point from their two Champions League group matches this season, though, following a 3-0 defeat at Paris Saint-Germain with a home draw against Club Brugge on Tuesday night.

According to reports in Spain, Perez is unhappy with the team's form this term, and the president has already drawn up a shortlist of potential replacements including Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho and Massimiliano Allegri.

Madrid's failure to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United or sell unsettled attacker Gareth Bale is believed to have seen the relationship between Perez and Zidane deteriorate over the summer.

The capital giants will attempt to return to winning ways on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Granada to the Bernabeu in Spain's top flight.
