Gareth Bale targets six trophies with Real Madrid

Gareth Bale is optimistic that Real Madrid can challenge for six trophies ahead of the new season.

Gareth Bale has claimed that Real Madrid's target must be to win all six competitions they are involved in this season.

The Welshman enjoyed a memorable start to life in the Spanish capital as Madrid won the Champions League and Copa del Rey in his first season, but Bale is desperate for more success, beginning with the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla in Cardiff next month.

"We enter six competitions and we want to win every one," the 25-year-old told reporters. "That would be amazing. We are hungrier than ever.

"No team has retained the Champions League, so we want to do that, and there is a special touch for me because the Super Cup is in my home town. Hopefully we can do the job and get the trophy."

Bale finished last season with 22 goals and 16 assists in all competitions.
