Carlo Ancelotti: 'We'll push Barcelona to the wire'

Carlo Ancelotti demands no let-up from Real Madrid in their pursuit of La Liga leaders Barcelona.

Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that Real Madrid can win their four remaining La Liga encounters to push Barcelona right to the wire in the title race.

The second-placed Blancos thrashed Almeria 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu last night to stay two points adrift of Luis Enrique's side.

Ancelotti's charges face Juventus in a first-leg Champions League semi-final next week, but the Italian says that Real will be full strength in Saturday's trip to Sevilla.

"We're not sure Barca will lose points but we are confident we can win the remaining games," he told AS. "We're now in a very important part of the season and every game is most important.

"I'll put out the best team to beat Sevilla despite the fact we play Juventus because that game doesn't matter [as it's not the next one]."

James Rodriguez's stunning volley opened the scoring on the stroke of half time, before Mauro Dos Santos's own goal and Alvaro Arbeloa sealed the win in the second half.
