Real Madrid trail Deportivo La Coruna by one goal at the half-time interval of their La Liga clash at the Riazor.

Bottom-side Deportivo La Coruna deservedly hold a 1-0 lead over Real Madrid after 45 minutes at the Riazor.

Jose Mourinho left Cristiano Ronaldo, Sami Khedira and Mesut Ozil on the bench this evening and Los Blancos have failed to shine so far.

The home side were markedly better in the opening exchanges and took the lead through Riki in the 35th minute.

The 32-year-old broke clear of the Madrid defence and smashed a powerful shot at goal that beat Diego Lopez at his near post.

Marcelo then saved his team from going further behind when he headed Pizzi's curled effort off the line.
