How Real Madrid could line up against Real Betis

Ahead of Sunday's La Liga clash between Real Betis and Real Madrid, Sports Mole looks at how Santiago Solari's side could line up at the Benito Villamarín Stadium.

Real Madrid make the trip to face Real Betis at the Benito Villamarin Stadium having failed to win either of their last two fixtures in La Liga.

Santiago Solari's side began the year with a 2-2 draw at Villarreal, a result which was followed by a 2-0 defeat at home to Real Sociedad last weekend.

Madrid now sit 10 points adrift of leaders Barcelona, and that could have been extended to 13 by the time that the European champions take to the pitch on Sunday evening.

Solari has a number of injury problems, and here Sports Mole looks at how his team could line up against a club who sit just four points behind them in the standings.

Out: Thibaut Courtois (hip), Toni Kroos (muscle), Marcos Llorente (hamstring), Mariano Diaz (sciatica), Gareth Bale (calf), Lucas Vazquez (suspended)
Doubtful: Marco Asensio (hamstring)

Thibaut Courtois has sustained a hip injury and will likely miss the rest of the month, leaving Keylor Navas to deputise for the Belgian stopper.

Toni Kroos could be absent for the next three weeks with a thigh problem, and Dani Ceballos may be given another chance in midfield due to fitness issues with both of Marcos Llorente and Marco Asensio.

Solari has been previously against using Isco in the final third, but the playmaker could get the nod over Brahim Diaz with the youngster having only recently joined from Manchester City.

The backline may remain the same, despite Real's supporters growing increasingly impatient with the performances of left-back Marcelo.
