Dani Carvajal has thanked his Spain teammates for welcoming him into the set-up.

The Real Madrid right-back made his La Roja debut in Thursday's 1-0 defeat to France and is expected to keep his spot in the team for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Macedonia on Monday.

"I feel very comfortable and my colleagues have treated me very well on my arrival. I am very happy," he told reporters at a press conference.

"Macedonia is an important game as the first qualifying match. We can't be taken by surprise."

Carvajal helped Madrid win the Champions League and Copa del Rey last season.
