Report: Reading close to Zat Knight capture

Former Bolton Wanderers defender Zat Knight will reportedly join Reading on a short-term contract until the end of the next season.

Former Bolton Wanderers defender Zat Knight has reportedly agreed to join Reading on a free transfer.

The 34-year-old defender has been without a club since leaving MLS side Colorado Rapids, whom he joined following his Bolton release last summer.

Knight was recently on trial at promotion-chasing Watford, but Reading have now won the race for his signature, according to Get Reading.

It is believed that Knight will sign a short-term contract for the final two months of the season.
