Reading confirm that Jay Tabb is close to finalising a loan move to Ipswich Town.

Reading have confirmed that Jay Tabb is close to completing a loan move to Ipswich Town.

Royals manager Brian McDermott recently admitted that he would be willing to let the midfielder leave the club in order to get more first-team football.

"With paperwork due to be completed on Friday morning, the 29-year-old will be eligible for the Tractor Boys' trip to Peterborough United this weekend," read a statement on Reading's official website.

Tabb has made 16 appearances in all competitions this season.
