Reading reportedly turn down Sheffield Wednesday's bid to secure Michail Antonio on a permanent deal.

Reading have reportedly rejected a bid from Sheffield Wednesday for winger Michail Antonio.

The newly-promoted Championship side are believed to be keen on luring the 22-year-old away from top-flight football on a permanent basis, following Reading's launch into the Premier League.

Despite a reported £350,000 bid getting rejected, it is understood that the Royals are open to accepting an offer in the region of £750,000, according to the Daily Star.

Antonio was offloaded to the Hillsborough Stadium on a loan agreement this season.
