Reading announce the signing of David Meyler from fellow Championship side Hull City on a two-year deal.

Reading have announced that they have signed David Meyler from fellow Championship side Hull City.

The club have confirmed that the Republic of Ireland international has signed a two-year contract at the Madejski Stadium.

"He comes here with a lot of experience at this level but also the level above," BBC Sport quotes Reading boss Paul Clement as saying.

"With his ability and his leadership qualities, David is going to add a lot to our squad."

Meyler spent almost six years with the Tigers, twice winning promotion to the Premier League with them.
