Rangers tax case results to be revealed on Wednesday

The results of the latest appeal by HMRC in the Rangers tax case will be revealed on Wednesday.

The results of the latest court judgement regarding the Rangers tax case will be released on Wednesday.

Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs appealed against court decisions made by former Rangers owner Sir David Murray after an initial appeal was turned down in July 2014.

"The judgment in the appeal to the Court of Session by the Advocate General for Scotland v Murray Group Holdings and others ("the Rangers tax case") will be published on Wednesday," a statement on the Judiciary of Scotland website read.

"A press summary of the judgment will be issued here at 10.30am, before the full opinion of the court is published on the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service website at 12 noon."

The result of the appeal will have no effect on the current Rangers regime.
