Frozen pitch postpones Cowdenbeath-Rangers game

The Scottish Championship affair between Cowdenbeath and Rangers is called off because of a frozen pitch at Central Park.

Rangers' Scottish Championship match with Cowdenbeath has been called off because of a frozen pitch at Central Park.

The duo were meant to kick off at 3pm this afternoon, but following an 11.30am inspection, Fife club Cowdenbeath announced that it would have to be rescheduled.

"Unfortunately the referee has deemed the pitch unplayable at this time and as a result the match will not take place today," the Blue Brazil wrote on Twitter.

Rangers are second in the table, 26 points better off than eighth-placed Cowdenbeath.
