Kris Boyd backs Rangers for title

Rangers striker Kris Boyd reveals that he expects the team to win the Scottish Championship this season.

Rangers striker Kris Boyd has backed the team to win the Scottish Championship this season.

The Gers are currently in second place in the table, three points behind leaders Hearts after four games.

Despite seeing Hearts win all of their matches so far this term, Boyd is confident that Rangers can recover to be crowned champions.

"I would still fancy us with the players we've got and the squad we've got," the 31-year-old Scot told Sky Sports News.

"It's certainly a difficult league but I always thought it would be a challenge. We're looking forward to what lies ahead and we want to keep progressing."

Boyd has scored five goals in seven games for Rangers so far this season.
