Shaun Fraser double sinks East Stirlingshire

Queen's Park climb to third in Scottish League Two thanks to a 2-1 win over East Stirlingshire.

Queen's Park moved into a playoff place with a 3-1 win over East Stirlingshire this afternoon.

The away side took the lead within the opening five minutes when Shaun Fraser climbed highest to nod home Ciaran McElroy's cross.

Fraser then headed narrowly over from a corner, before grabbing his second with a close-range finish on 25 minutes.

Scott Gibson nearly added another just before half time, but his powerful left-footed shot flew narrowly wide.

Shaun Rooney tested Richard Barnard with a powerful header just after the restart, but the East Stirlingshire goalkeeper reacted quickly to turn the ball away.

East Stirlingshire pulled a goal back through Connor Greene on 65 minutes, but Paul Woods made sure of the win with a third for Queen's Park deep into injury time.
