Queens Park Rangers confirm that goalkeeper Julio Cesar has left the club by mutual consent.

Queens Park Rangers have announced that goalkeeper Julio Cesar has left the club by mutual consent.

The Brazil international, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Toronto FC, had two years remaining on his contract with the Hoops.

However, the 34-year-old has been linked with a move to Portuguese side Benfica this summer, while Rob Green started in goal in the opening match of the Premier League season.

Cesar joined the club on a free in 2012.
