Queens Park Rangers midfielder Samba Diakite has joined Al Ittihad on a season-long loan.

The 25-year-old initially joined QPR on loan in January 2012 from Nancy, before making the move permanent six months later.

He had a spell on loan at Watford last season, but he was sent off in his first game for the club.

Diakite has scored four goals in his 19 appearances for the Mali national side.
