Leroy Fer confident of Queens Park Rangers survival

QPR midfielder Leroy Fer believes that the team is good enough to avoid relegation following their vital win over Burnley.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Leroy Fer has backed the team to stay in the Premier League following their win against Burnley.

The R's climbed out of the relegation zone at the weekend as they saw off their fellow strugglers 2-0 at Loftus Road.

Despite a busy festive schedule on the horizon, Fer believes that QPR have the quality to keep their place in the top flight come the end of the season.

"The win against Burnley was a big one for us," the Dutchman told the club's official website. "In the last week we have played two really important games against Leicester and Burnley, and we have won them both.

"It is great for us to see the league table and be out of the bottom three, but we need to continue to work. We are a new team in the Premier League so it is always going to be tough but I believe we have enough quality to stay up."

QPR continue their Premier League campaign next Monday when they make the trip to Everton.
