Chairman Tony Fernandes expresses his belief that Mark Hughes is the right man to manage Queens Park Rangers.

Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes has once again insisted that Mark Hughes is the right man to take the club forward.

Despite spending a vast sum of money in the summer on players likes Julio Cesar, Jose Bosingwa and Park Ji-Sung, the R's currently find themselves bottom of the Premier League table with six matches played.

That has led to numerous reports claiming that Hughes will soon be relieved of his duties if the club's fortunes do not change.

However, despite the speculation, Fernandes has stressed that he has "full faith" in Hughes's ability to turn things around at Loftus Road.

"We need a couple of results, that's obvious," he told talkSPORT "You could be Sir Matt Busby, Sir Alex Ferguson or whoever the greatest manager of all time is, but when you're suddenly playing with four centre-backs in the team, and you haven't had the stability of defence every game, you're going to struggle.

"Nobody is panicking here. I have full faith in Mark Hughes, the team and the coaching staff.

"We've only been in the Premier League for one year. Rome can't be built in a day. I'm not a short term person, we need stability more than anything."

QPR lost 3-2 to West Bromwich Albion at the weekend.
