Live Commentary: Queens Park Rangers 1-2 West Ham United - as it happened

Sports Mole brings you live coverage of tonight's Premier League match between QPR and West Ham.

Good evening and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of Queens Park Rangers vs. West Ham United.

QPR are still looking for their first win of the season, picking up just two points from their opening five games of the season.

West Ham, meanwhile, have lost just one league game all season, although they fell to a heavy 4-1 defeat at the hands of Wigan Athletic in the League Cup midweek.

Can QPR pick up their first win of the season? Can West Ham continue their good start to the season? Find out all the answers to these questions and more here!

10.01pmThat's just about it from me! Stay tuned to Sports Mole for news, reaction and analysis on West Ham's 2-1 victory over QPR. Thanks for joining me and good night!

10pmThe pressure increases on Mark Hughes, but you have to say that, on the whole, West Ham deserved that win. QPR were poor in the first half and left it too late to stage a comeback.

9.59pmSo, QPR remain bottom of the table still looking for their first win of the season. West Ham, meanwhile, move up to seventh.

9.58pmFULL TIME: QPR 1-2 West Ham

90+5 minCHANCE! Late chance for the Hammers as Carroll takes the ball down espertly before firing a fierce effort which Cesar beats away.

90+4 minTaarabt tries to wriggle through the heart of West Ham and beats a couple before finally being crowded out. Time is running out for QPR!

90+2 minAn eighth West Ham player enters the book, this time it's James Tomkins.

90+1 minFaurlin fires a vicious strike in from 25-30 yards, but once again Jaaskelainen pushes it away. Good save.

90+1 minNolan is very nearly in after getting on the end of a Carroll flick in but he is called back for a handball. Dubious.

90 minSix minutes of added time, and a ripple of hope goes around Loftus Road.

88 minCisse fires in a low shot from the edge of the box which Jaaskelainen can't hold, but the ball falls safely.

86 minOff the ball shenanigans going on here as Hill gives Vaz Te a little push for kicking the ball away, and the West Ham man goes down in rather petulant fashion.

85 min...but that isn't one of Taarabt's better strikes. His shot goes waaaaay over the bar.

84 minQPR have a free kick in a good position as Nolan brings down a lively-looking Hoilett...

83 minQPR make their final change and it's an attacking one. Off goes Onuoha for Junior Hoilett

82 minCarroll and Nolan link up again, but Nelson blocks two shots in quick succession from the latter.

80 minCHANCE! Zamora just can't control a ball over the top. He would've had a clear strike on goal if he could have taken that, but he didn't look like he was expecting it.

78 minCHANCE! That's a great strike from Vaz Te, but Cesar goes someway to atoning for his earlier errors by making an equally good save.

78 minCracking clearance from under his own crossbar by Hill after a fine ball from Jarvis. Carroll was just watching on, could he have got there?

77 minJames Collins becomes West Ham's SEVENTH name in the book for kicking the ball away. They'll have an FA fine coming their way.

76 minThat's a real blow to Hughes. He would have been optimistic of getting a goal back, but now his side's chances have taken a big hit.

75 minDiakite, who came on as a sub with Taarabt, is shown his second yellow card after a late tackle. Probably the right decision by the letter of the law, but Diakite only had eyes for the ball.

75 minOFF! Samba Diakite

74 minAnother defence splitting pass by Taarabt to Cisse, who crosses it in to Zamora, who in turn chests it down but Granero just can't control it.

72 minAnd on comes Carroll for Cole. Perhaps partly to do with that miss?

71 minCHANCE! Taarabt really is something special when he's in this mood. A perfectly weighted ball through to Cisse gives him a chance on goal, but his shot is parried wide by Jaaskelainen.

70 minA certain Andy Carroll is prowling the touchlines, his arrival looks imminent.

69 minReferee Mark Clattenburg is handing out yellow cards willy nilly now. Cole and Nolan both enter the book in quick succession.

68 minGreat chance to end QPR's revival there. As it is, the home side may take more encouragement from such a glaring miss.

67 minCHANCE! What a chance! A beautiful ball inside the defence by Nolan sets Cole through one on one, but his shot is terrible and trickles well wide of the post. That was an absolute sitter.

67 minThe West Ham keeper is then booked for time wasting.

65 minCHANCE! The equaliser almost comes then! Cisse plays a cute little pass to Granero who finds space on the edge of the box before curling the ball towards goal, but Jaaskelainen beats it away with a one-handed save.

64 minSuddenly it is QPR who are winning the 50/50s, and they are looking much more like getting an equaliser now.

63 minTaarabt flicks the ball on and it just evades Cisse. The home fans want a penalty but the referee waves it away.

62 minA blatant and cynical foul by McCartney on Diakite sees him booked. Diakite has looked lively since coming on.

60 minMcCartney goes flying down the left and his cross is cut out by a fine block. Cole still has time to attempt a cheeky backheel, but Cesar is equal to it.

58 minThe goal has, unsurprisingly, revitalised the crowd. Can it have the same effect on the team?

58 minTaarabt is booked for his celebration, however, as he revealed a message saying 'I love Allah'.

57 minWOW! I said he had the quality, and he's proved it in spectacular style. He cuts inside and curls a beauty into the top corner with one of his first touches. Great goal.

55 minTaarabt certainly has the quality to do just that, but he hasn't shown it often enough in the Premier League. Could this be his moment?

55 minDouble change for QPR here as Park comes off for Diakite and Taarabt replaces Shaun Wright-Phillips. Hughes knows that he needs to do something to change this game.

53 minPark looks to burst through the middle but he is dispossesed by a fine Diame tackle. Good strength from the West Ham man.

50 minIf the score was covered up you'd think that West Ham needed a goal to back in this one, they're totally in control at the start of this half.

47 minCHANCE! Diame unleashes a fierce half volley that is pushed away by Julio Cesar having been found by Nolan. West Ham have made the better start to this half.

47 minTwo corners in quick succession for the Hammers come to nothing, although Tomkins came within inches of connecting with the second.

46 minThe visitors are not taking anything for granted and immediately go on the attack.

46 minAnd West Ham get us back underway! Can QPR launch a dramatic comeback?

9.05pmThe players are out and ready to go here...

9.03 pmMy prediction is out of the window already...no surprises there then.

8.58pmMaybe they will improve if they get time to gel but, for now, they don't look like a team, more like 11 individuals.

8.57pmHughes really has to sort out his defence. They are an absolute shambles, you can tell that the team has been assembled in a short space of time.

8.55pmWell there's my summary of the half, but to read a more detailed account of the half's major moments, you can read our half time report here.

8.54pmA good first half all told from West Ham. They haven't looked like conceding and have got two goals of their own, albeit through messy means. Big Sam will be the first to tell you that they all count the same though!

8.51pmHALF TIME QPR 0-2 West Ham

45+5 minThe home crowd get excited when Cisse gets on the end of the free kick to head back across goal, but the linesman flags for offside.

45+5 minLate tackle from Noble earns himself a yellow card as Park gets the ball away just in time. Free kick to QPR, and it's their last chance of the half for Mark Hughes's men.

45+1 min...but it's overhit.

45+1 minCorner to QPR...

45+1 minFive minutes of stoppage time here courtesy of that injury to Reid.

44 minMark Noble lets fly from range but his shot deflects over and the corner comes to nothing.

43 minAnother half chance for QPR as Bobby Zamora finds space for a header, but his effort goes too high.

42 minVaz Te whips a ball in to the front post which Cole meets, but it flies just wide.

41 minThe Hammers try to carve out a chance on the edge of the area but they're crowded out.

39 minCHANCE! Cisse almost gives QPR a goal back in spectacular fashion! The ball falls to him and he jumps off the ground and volleys towards goal, but Jaaskelainen is equal to it. Great effort.

38 minDiame picks up a yellow card for a cynical foul on Wright-Phillips as the diminutive winger threatened to race away.

37 minHalf chance for Cisse immediately afterwards, but he just can't get his shot away in the moment that he needed to. His eventual effort was well blocked.

35 minIt's not great keeping by Cesar by any means, but Vaz Te has a goal on his 26th birthday. A wicked cross by Tomkins finds Vaz Te at the back post and somehow he managed to volley it towards goal. It toko a slight deflection in front of Cesar but he still probably should've saved it.

34 minWest Ham are set to make their second change of the match already! On comes George McCartney for Joey O'Brien.

32 minEngland manager Roy Hodgson is in the stands watching this one.

29 minWest Ham come forward again but O'Brien is seen out with ease. The game has gone a bit flat in the last few minutes.

27 minQPR's defence has looked shaky today!

25 minHalf chance for the Hammers as a ball is lofted into the box but just out of the reach of Cole. Cisse fires high, wide and anything but handsome at the other end.

24 minWe're back underway and Diame tries to power his way into the QPR box but is eventualy crowded out.

23 minAnd there is the change, Tomkins on for Reid.

22 minI'd expect him to still go off, however.

22 minReid is able to walk off, very good news. It looked like that could be a nasty one at one point.

21 minThe ref acted very quickly there, immediate action. Looks like James Tomkins is set to replace him.

20 minThere is concern for Winston Reid here, he took a knock from Jaaskelainen and has barely moved since. He looks completely out, worrying scenes.

19 minCHANCE! Granero whips the ball in and the West Ham keeper completely misses it, but O'Brien is on hand to clear it away.

18 minO'Brien picks up a yellow card for that foul too.

18 minSWP is fouled right on the edge of the area, good chance for a shot or a cross here...

16 minMark Hughes cuts a disconsolate figure on the touchline. Failure to win here would pile the pressure on him ahead of their next game.

14 minCisse tries a shot from the corner of area but it's easily picked up by the keeper.

12 minCHANCE! Granero shakes off Diame before feeding Wright-Phillips, who pulls the ball back to the former Madrid man, but he can only half-volley it over the bar.

11 minDjibril Cisse tries to use his pace down the right but is blocked off by the ever-dogged Mark Noble. No free kick given though.

10 minJulio Cesar is left worried by a deflected drive from Cole, which loops just past his post. It would've been just QPR's luck for that to fly in.

9 minJarvis's goal was West Ham's first away goal in the Premier League for 505 days.

9 minRobust challenge from Cole there and Clint Hill is left holding his face on the floor.

7 minThe resulting corner is cleared comfortably though, and West Ham's counter attack leads to nothing.

7 minDangerous ball into the box from Shaun Wright-Phillips, right into the corridor of uncertainty, but there is no-one there to put it in.

5 minA ball down the left just evades Cole as West Ham come forward again. QPR need to get themselves into this match.

3 minIt's a shambolic goal from QPR's point of view, and lucky from West Ham's. A break down the right led to Kevin Nolan's mis hit shot, but the ball looped to the back post and Jarvis was waiting to head in, although it looks as if he was trying to knock it back across goal. Messy, messy goal.

2 minFree kick to QPR just inside West Ham's half...and it's cleared with ease. Poor delivery.

1 minGood strength from Carlton Cole up top early on, but QPR clear the danger.

0 minIf QPR lose here they will have recorded their worst ever start to a season.

0 minAnd we're off!

7.59pmPersonally, I'm rooting for Guy Demel to score a hattrick tonight and keep a clean sheet for the sake of my fantasy football team.

7.55pmThe players are in the tunnel ahead of the first half, and Neville is now describing Park Ji-Sung as the "best defender in the United squad" when he was there. Not sure I agree with that too but I must bow down to G. Nev's superior knowledge.

7.54pmThey also showed Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll's combined scoring record, and it's surprising reading! They average almost a goal a game during their time at Newcastle and West Ham! Sam Allardyce will be desperate to get Carroll back as soon as possible.

7.51pmSky Sports pundit Gary Neville syas that he can't believe that QPR are bottom of the league, and I'm inclined to agree with him. They have too many good players to remain there for long.

7.50pmWe're 10 minutes from kickoff time in this derby, time for predictions! West Ham have looked good at times this season, but surely it's only a matter of time before QPR win their first game of the season? I'm going for a 2-1 home win!

7.46pmIf QPR are looking for good omens, here's one for them: West Ham have failed to score in six of their last seven Premier League games on a Monday.

7.43pmQPR, on the other hand, will be looking for Bobby Zamora and Djibril Cisse to fire them to their first league win of the season.

7.41pmThe headline news is that Matt Jarvis starts for the Hammers, while there is no place for loanee striker Andy Carroll.

7.40pmRight, let's waste no time in giving you the team news for tonight's match.

7.39pmGood evening! Welcome to our live coverage of tonight's London derby.
