Zlatan Ibrahimovic hints at Qatar move

Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will be out of contract in Paris in June, says that "a move to Qatar is an option" as he weighs up his future.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has suggested that he could make a move to Qatar when his Paris Saint-Germain contract expires this summer.

The 34-year-old will be a free agent at the end of the current campaign and is widely expected to seek pastures new following four seasons with PSG.

A return to AC Milan has been mentioned in various quarters, but the Swedish international has revealed that a move to Qatar "is an option" as he weighs up his future.

"My current situation is new to me. I have an expiring contract and that is a new experience. I am free to do what I want," Ibrahimovic told L'Equipe.

"I am focused on PSG for now. I still have six months to go on my current contract and I want to give my best for the team. I do not have a next destination in mind.

"I have a good relationship with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and with the people of Qatar, but I cannot say anything at this stage. Let's just say that a move to Qatar is an option. I am enjoying my football at the moment and I'm feeling well both mentally and physically. I am enjoying myself each game. We will see what happens."

Ibrahimovic has won league titles in Netherlands, Italy, Spain and France during a decorated career that has also seen him score 62 times in 111 games for Sweden to date.
