David Beckham hails his Paris Saint-Germain debut as a "special night" after making a 15-minute cameo in the 2-0 win over Marseille last night.
David Beckham has declared that making his Paris Saint-Germain debut against Marseille on Sunday represented a "special night" in his career.
The English midfielder came on with 15 minutes to play and combined with Jeremy Menez to create a goal for Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a 2-0 success for PSG.
Beckham believes that the most important aspect of the night was the win for PSG that takes them eight points clear of Marseille in Ligue 1.
He told reporters in the post-match press conference: "It was a special night for the team and for me.
"I received a great welcome. To wear the jersey of PSG and get on to the pitch, it was all very special.
"To win against Marseille and increase our lead on them to eight points, this was a very important victory for us."
Carlo Ancelotti's side stayed three points ahead of Lyon at the top of Ligue 1 with the win at the Parc des Princes.
