Laurent Blanc: 'Paris Saint-Germain may appeal Zlatan Ibrahimovic's red card'

Paris-Saint Germain could appeal the red card given to striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic last night, says Laurent Blanc.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has said that the club may appeal the red card given to Zlatan Ibrahimovic in last night's Champions League clash with Chelsea.

Ibrahimovic was sent off in the 31st minute for a mistimed tackle on Chelsea player Oscar.

Blanc told reporters: "I haven't had a chance to look though the footage. There will be a committee who will convene to talk about the decision and I hope he will be in our party for the quarter-final."

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes that the red card should be overturned and also hopes that Ibrahimovic can play in the quarter-final.

A late header by Thiago Silva won the tie for the French champions.
