Team News: Eddie Howe rings changes for Preston North End clash

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe makes several changes to his side for the Capital One Cup third-round game against Preston North End.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has made several changes to his side for the League Cup third-round tie at Preston North End.

Among those handed a recall are forward Yann Kermorgant, midfielder Eunan O'Kane and keeper Adam Federici, all of whom were on the bench for the Cherries' 2-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday.

Howe also gives a start to Chelsea loanee Christian Atsu, who was left out of the squad to face the Black Cats at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Preston boss Simon Grayson is without the suspended Joe Garner and Eoin Doyle, who is cup-tied.

In their absence, Stevie May will lead the Lilywhites' attack at Deepdale, with Will Keane also handed a start for the Championship outfit.

Jordan Hugill and Kyel Reid return to the North End bench after picking up injuries in a Lancashire Cup match earlier this month.

Preston North End: Pickford, Woods, Clarke, Wright, Cunningham, Humphrey, Welsh, Browne, Johnson, Keane, May

Bournemouth: Federici, Francis, Cook, Cargill, Smith, MacDonald, O'Kane, Atsu, King, Stanislas, Kermorgant
