Philadelphia Union and Vancouver Whitecaps played out a 0-0 draw in the MLS on Saturday.

Chances were few and far between in the opening stages of the match and it took until 27 minutes for either side to register a notable attempt on goal.

The effort came from the home side, but Lionard Pajoy could only fire wide from close range when he might have done better.

The match opened up in the latter stages of the half, and Matt Watson fired wide for Vancouver before Davide Chiumiento struck wide moments later.

Chances remained few and far between in the second period, but it was the away side who looked the most likely, and they twice came close via Jay DeMerit with 63 minutes on the clock.

Both sides pushed for the winner in the latter stages, but to no avail, as they shared the points.
