Notts County have secured the signing of teenage defender Taylor McKenzie on a free transfer from Sheffield Wednesday.

The 19-year-old, formerly of Norwich City, joined Wednesday in 2012 but never made a first-team appearance for the Owls.

He has now moved to Meadow Lane and signed a two-year contract with the League One outfit.

The Magpies also handed 19-year-old Kyle Dixon a one-year professional deal today after adding former Manchester United man Alan Smith as a player-coach yesterday.
