Newcastle United are considering the possibility of signing Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy, according to a report.

The Magpies have reportedly been watching Ruddy in action over recent weeks as they prepare for the potential departure of Tim Krul, the Sunday People reports.

Ruddy, 27, has been capped by England and Alan Pardew is said to be keen for him to join the club should Krul move on.

Norwich signed Ruddy from Everton in 2010.
