Chris Hughton has reportedly highlighted Gary Hooper as the ideal man to add more firepower to his Norwich City attack.

The Celtic forward, who has scored 17 goals in 29 Bhoys appearances this season, has previously been linked with Premier League side Southampton.

However, Norwich hope to beat off competition from other potential suitors by offering the 24-year-old a £30,000-a-week contract.

Should Hooper opt to stay with the Scottish Premier League outfit, who have progressed to the Champions League last 16, Hughton will turn his attention to Swansea City frontman Danny Graham.

Manager Michael Laudrup has hinted that Graham could leave the Liberty Stadium in January and Norwich apparently lead a bunch of admirers that also includes Sunderland, Reading and Aston Villa.
