Norwich City obliterate lowly Gorleston

Norwich City continue their pre-season preparations with a 7-0 thumping of Gorleston at Emerald Park.

Cameron Jerome netted a hat-trick as Norwich City resumed their pre-season preparations with a 7-0 demolition of Gorleston this afternoon.

The Canaries enjoyed a dream start by netting twice inside the opening 10 minutes at Emerald Park.

First, Jerome converted Graham Dorrans's cut-back on four minutes, before completing his brace shortly after by finding the top corner from outside the area.

The gulf in class between both sides was looking increasingly evident, and Tony Andreu added a third shortly before the half-hour mark as Alex Neil's side looked in full control.

Two more followed when Jerome completed his hat-trick on 31 minutes, before Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe struck a fifth with a lob shortly after to leave the visitors 5-0 ahead at the break.

City's momentum was stifled by a spate of second-half substitutes, but further goals from Lewis Grabban and Johnny Howson midway through the second half made it seven.

Norwich struck the bar twice in the final quarter to add further gloss to the scoreline as Neil's side settled for seven.
