Alex Neil well prepared for Norwich City's Wembley showdown

Alex Neil will tell his Norwich City players to "not have any regrets" upon full time of this afternoon's Championship playoff final clash against Middlesbrough.

Norwich City manager Alex Neil has told his players to give all they have against Middlesbrough to ensure that they get the job done at Wembley.

The Canaries, who beat local rivals Ipswich Town to advance through the semi-finals, take on Boro this afternoon for a place in the Premier League.

Norwich finished the regular season one point above their opponents in the league table, and Neil is now well prepared for the £120m showdown.

"The way I go about it and the detail is different but not the process, that is the same whether it was Arbroath or now Middlesbrough at Wembley," he is quoted as saying by the Belfast Telegraph. "I will still do the same things with my players.

"I know exactly what I want to do. It is about picking the right team for the game, that is the most important thing. I have watched Boro enough now, I know what they are capable of and what we are capable of doing.

"For the players, the message is don't have any regrets. They have worked so hard to get to this point, it's really important that we don't fall at the final hurdle."

Neil has won 16 of his 24 games in charge of City since his arrival earlier this season.
