Cameron Jerome hails "magnificent" Norwich City performance

Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome admits that it has been a "long" season for his side, but one that he is delighted to see end with playoff joy.

Cameron Jerome has insisted that Norwich City were "deserved winners" in this afternoon's Championship playoff final against Middlesbrough.

The Canaries secured their place back in the Premier League following a 12-month absence, having brushed aside their opponents 2-0 at Wembley.

Both goals came inside the opening 15 minutes of the contest, as a below-par Boro failed to live with Norwich's positive attacking play.

"It's amazing. It's been a long old season," Jerome told Sky Sports News. "We were both unlucky to miss out on automatic promotion.

"Someone's got to lose and it's unfortunate for them. We were magnificent today. We moved the ball well and we were deserved winners."

Norwich will now join Bournemouth and Watford in the top flight next season.
