Norwich City midfielder Jonny Howson has hailed Leroy Fer for his contribution to the team this season.

The Dutch international joined the club from FC Twente in the summer and has gone on to feature in all but one of the Canaries' Premier League fixtures during the current campaign.

Howson admits that he has been impressed by how quickly Fer has adapted to the high tempo of the English game.

"He is an all-action midfielder who can do a bit of everything," he is quoted as saying by Goal.com.

"People have to remember about Leroy he only came into English football in the summer. He is still young but it feels like he has been here a lot longer and his game suits the English style. He has done very well and, if he keeps developing, who knows how good he can be."

Norwich continue their Premier League campaign on Sunday when they welcome Swansea City to Carrow Road.
