Derby County forward Jamie Ward pulls out of Northern Ireland's friendly against Turkey on Friday night.

Jamie Ward has pulled out the Northern Ireland squad for this Friday's friendly against Turkey because of a foot injury.

The Derby County forward featured for the Rams as they swept aside Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 on Saturday, but did not fly out with his country because of a bruised foot.

Newcastle United's Shane Ferguson, currently on loan at Birmingham City, also didn't travel but he may fly out later in the week if he recovers from an illness.

That leaves Michael O'Neill with a slim squad of just 18 for the game in Adana on Friday night.
