Swedish striker Ibrahimovic is expected to come up against Gerrard tomorrow, with the England skipper tipped to land his 100th cap for the Three Lions.
Ahead of that achievement, Ibrahimovic has described the Liverpool midfielder as someone who is not like the traditional English footballer.
"He is a very good person to have as a teammate in your team. He always gives 200%, is a good fighter and has good skills and a good touch with the ball also," Ibrahimovic told reporters.
"He feels more like an international player rather than a normal English player. English players have big hearts always fighting, very aggressive but for me Gerrard for me feels more international. He has more skills than the normal player."
Tomorrow's match between the two nations will mark the opening of the Swedbank Arena.
