Newcastle United have reportedly made a late approach for Everton left-back Bryan Oviedo.
Earlier in the day it seemed that the Magpies were on the verge of re-signing Jose Enrique from Liverpool to fill that position.
However, speculation this afternoon claimed that a move for the Spaniard had fallen through over a contract dispute.
Instead, Newcastle have now switched their attention across Merseyside for Costa Rica international Oviedo, according to The Mirror.
The report adds that West Bromwich Albion are also keen on the 25-year-old, who joined the Toffees from Copenhagen in 2012.
