Following another injury sustained by Ryan Taylor, Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew hints at bringing in a new full-back before tomorrow's transfer deadline.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has said that he may need to sign another full-back before tomorrow's transfer deadline.

The revelation comes after Ryan Taylor injured his right knee during the Magpies' 1-0 win over Atromitos Athens in the Europa League.

"It looks like Ryan Taylor has picked up a bad knock," Pardew told BBC Sport. "I might now have to speak to the chairman because we might need to bring someone in on the back of that.

"Let's hope it's not as bad as we fear."

Newcastle are understood to be long-term admirers of Ajax defender Gregory van der Wiel.
