Newcastle United suspend coach Willie Donachie

Willie Donachie is suspended by Newcastle United for an alleged bust-up with a reserve team player.

Newcastle United's reserve team coach Willie Donachie has been suspended by the club for allegedly striking an Under-21 player, according to Sky Sports News.

The reported incident happened in the dressing room following Monday night's 2-0 defeat to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, although the club are yet to confirm the news.

Donachie, who has been at the club since 2009, has worked several roles at the club, with the latest being in charge of their reserve side.

It is not yet known which player Donachie had the alleged altercation with.
