Aleksandar Mitrovic: 'We must be happy with point'

Aleksandar Mitrovic says that Newcastle United should "be happy" with their 2-2 draw against Chelsea.

Aleksandar Mitrovic has said that Newcastle United should take the positives from their 2-2 draw with Chelsea.

The Magpies led 2-0 with 12 minutes remaining, but late strikes from Ramires and Willian gave Chelsea a share of the spoils.

Rather than dwell on the negative aspects of the result, Mitrovic has called upon his teammates to play future games in the same manner.

"It was a really good performance from us, especially the first half, we played really good football," Mitrovic told the Newcastle Chronicle after the final whistle.

"We played high and we pressed. What we need to do is be happy because we have taken one point from Chelsea, the champions from last year. We need to keep working.

"This is the way we should be playing all of our games."

Newcastle are still without a win this season and lie in 19th place.
