Netherlands goalkeeper Tim Krul warns Argentina that he is studying their penalty takers ahead of the World Cup semi-final.

Netherlands goalkeeper Tim Krul has warned Argentina that he plans to do his homework on their penalty takers ahead of the World Cup semi-final between the two sides.

The Newcastle United stopper employed mind games to pull off two saves during a shootout against Costa Rica in the quarter-finals, and said that he isn't afraid to use similar tactics in the last-four clash.

"I'll study Argentina as well," he told reporters. "We've been studying and planning what we're going to do before every game with all the goalkeepers and the goalkeeping coach, so we're going to do that again.

"I watched them against Greece and studied them and I told the players that I knew where they were going to shoot to make them a bit nervous.

"I psyched them out. You try to do everything you can without being too aggressive. I tried to get in their minds. Maybe it worked."

Argentina overcame Belgium 1-0 to progress to the semi-finals.
