Former Leeds United striker Alan Smith starts in attack for MK Dons in their FA Cup fifth-round tie against Barnsley.

Former England striker Alan Smith has been given a starting role as MK Dons prepare to host Barnsley in the FA Cup fifth round.

The 32-year-old replaces cup-tied Izale McLeod in the only change for Karl Robinson's team.

Despite scoring three times in his last three games, Jason Scotland is once again named as a substitute by Barnsley manager David Flitcroft.

Scott Wiseman has proved his fitness in time to keep his place in the starting lineup to give the Tykes a boost in defence.

MK Dons: Martin, Otsemobor, MacKenzie, Williams, Lewington, Potter, Harley, Powell, Chadwick, Bowditch, Smith

Barnsley: Steele, Wiseman, Cranie, Kennedy, Golbourne, Hassell, Perkins, Etuhu, Mellis, Dagnall, Harewood
