Carl Baker seeking positives from MK Dons' barren run

MK Dons midfielder Carl Baker says that confidence levels "are still up" following a battling display away at Burnley last time out.

Carl Baker has insisted that the mood remains high in the MK Dons dressing room despite three defeats on the bounce.

The Dons have faded in recent weeks after initially making a solid start to their first term in the second tier.

Last season's promoted League One side have remained competitive in each game, though, and pushed an in-form Burnley all the way in Tuesday night's 2-1 reverse at Turf Moor.

Speaking to the club's official website, Baker said: "The lads are still confident and heads are still up because we're performing well. We're having a lot of possession and we're creating chances. We'd be worried if we were getting battered but we're not, we're playing well.

"We're working hard in training and we've just got to keep doing that, plugging away and hopefully our luck will change. I thought we played really well against Burnley at what is a difficult place to come to.

"I spoke to some of their guys and they said we're one of the best teams they've played but we don't want to be a sob story all the time - we want to get results and we're disappointed in the dressing room because we felt like we should have got something out of this game."

Next up for 16th-place Dons is a home match against Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
