Jose Mourinho hails Manchester United target Bruno Fernandes

Jose Mourinho says that Sporting Lisbon attacker Bruno Fernandes - strongly linked with a switch to Manchester United - "has it all".

Jose Mourinho has claimed that Sporting Lisbon attacker Bruno Fernandes "has it all" amid suggestions that Manchester United want to sign the Portugal international this summer.

United are said to lead Manchester City in the race for the 24-year-old, who scored 32 times and contributed 18 assists in 53 appearances for Sporting during the 2018-19 campaign.

Mourinho - sacked by the Red Devils in the latter stages of 2018 - has lavished praise on his fellow Portuguese for his impressive numbers during the recent season.

"I was surprised by the season of Bruno Fernandes. It was easy to predict quality, he is a very good player, but scored a very high number of goals for a midfield player," Mourinho told Eleven Sports.

"It shows that you need to have instinct and qualities to score and he has it all. He strikes the ball well, heads well, cool when he is one-on-one with the goalkeeper. He finds space in the penalty area. It's all there."

Fernandes, who has a contract at the Estadio Jose Alvalade until the end of the 2022-23 campaign, has also been linked with a move to City. However, the attacker recently said that he had not yet been contacted by any club over a summer move.
