Manchester United will reportedly miss out on signing Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich before tonight's 11pm deadline.

Manchester United's pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos has reportedly come to an end in this transfer window.

The Premier League champions have been linked with a move for the 24-year-old, whose contract talks at Bayern are said to have stalled.

Despite Bayern manager Pep Guardiola hinting that Kroos could be on his way out of the Allianz Arena, it is believed that the midfielder has told his agent that he does not want to leave Bayern this month, according to the Daily Star.

Kroos's current contract runs until 2015.
