Manchester United are reportedly preparing a summer bid for Schalke 04 midfielder Julian Draxler.
Scouts from the Premier League champions have been out to Germany five times this season to watch the 20-year-old playmaker.
Despite Draxler having a £38.5m release clause in his current contract, United are hoping to land the youngster for around £30m, according to Goal.com.
However, they are likely to face competition from a number of sides across Europe for his signature.
Rivals Chelsea have been linked with a move, while Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid and Juventus are also thought to be monitoring his transfer situation.
