A report in Portugal says that Manchester United are preparing to pursue Benfica midfielder Nicolas Gaitan for a second time.

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to make another move for Benfica midfielder Nicolas Gaitan.

The Red Devils were strongly linked with the 26-year-old back in 2012 when Sir Alex Ferguson was at the Old Trafford helm, but the switch never materialised.

However, new United boss Louis van Gaal has identified the Argentine as the ideal player to bolster his midfield options, according to A Bola.

The Portuguese report adds that United would be willing to offer winger Bebe as a part of the deal.
