Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly keeping track of Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng.

The 25-year-old, who spent a season in the top flight of English football with Manchester City, is said to have attracted both clubs.

According to Bild, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has placed Boateng on his summer transfer wishlist, while David Moyes also has the defender as an option for his predicted spree at the end of the season.

The German international is contracted to the Bundesliga champions until 2018 after he signed an extension back in December.
