Manchester United's Sam Johnstone joins Doncaster Rovers on loan

Sam Johnstone leaves Manchester United for Doncaster Rovers on a four-week loan deal.

Doncaster Rovers have signed Sam Johnstone from Manchester United on a four-week loan deal.

However, the transfer of the goalkeeper from the Premier League champions to the Championship outfit has still to be approved by the Football League.

Johnstone signed a new contract with United until June 2017 on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old has been on the books of the Red Devils since 2009, but has yet to feature for the first team.
