Paris Saint-German manager Laurent Blanc plays down speculation linking striker Edinson Cavani with a move to Manchester United.

Laurent Blanc has played down transfer speculation linking Manchester United with a move for Edinson Cavani.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker, who joined the French champions in a £55m move in the summer, was linked to the Old Trafford side earlier this week.

Speaking at a press conference, the PSG manager said: "You cannot prevent that some club is interested in PSG players, as we are interested in many players, but today, it is almost impossible to take a major PSG player during the winter market."

Cavani has scored 12 goals in Ligue 1 this season.
