Everton defender Leighton Baines has reportedly asked the club to agree a deal to sell him to Manchester United.

The Toffees have rejected three offers from United for the 28-year-old this summer, the last of which was a joint bid that included midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

However, Baines has now made it clear to the club that he would like to join the Premier League champions, according to The Independent.

The England international has two years remaining on his current deal at Goodison Park.
